Watford City, ND – Frontier Energy Group, Inc., parent company of Frontier Wellhead & Supply, L.L.C. has acquired Watford City’s Hanson Hot Oil Service, Inc., the largest hot oil company in the Williston Basin, creating one of the largest privately owned oilfield services company in North Dakota. Both companies will operate out of Frontier Wellhead’s office in Watford City, ND. In addition, new shops along with Hanson’s shops in Dickinson, New Town, Williston, & Sidney, MT joining as Frontier satellite locations.

Hanson Hot Oil began Valentine’s Day 1984 with a single truck in Watford City, ND. Now years later as truck twenty-one gets ready for service, Hanson Hot Oil, continues to provide the same hot oil service with each unit’s seven million B.T.U. heaters or their three on-board pumps. Hanson Hot Oil is considered one of the top hot oil companies in the Bakken.

Owen Hanson, Hanson Hot Oil’s Founder, said, “My 32 years in the hot oil trade has been wonderful; I’ve had the opportunity to build a strong company and see many of my customer’s children grow up. Now, I’m excited about the opportunities joining Frontier will create for our customers. Together, Frontier Wellhead and Hanson Hot Oil will be able to accomplish much more than each could on its own.” Hanson will remain with Frontier during the transition as Frontier Hot Oil’s Operation Manager.

“This acquisition brings together two strong companies and positions us to succeed in the fast-growing, dynamic, and highly competitive Williston Basin oilfield. This sets us on a path to create a full-featured service company from a position of strength,” said Dan Eberhart, Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Energy Group, Inc.

“We are delighted to announce the successful completion of this acquisition. With great people and a commitment to superior services, Frontier Energy Group, Inc. is well positioned for a bright future in the Williston Basin and beyond,” Eberhart said.

Frontier and Hanson, operating as Frontier Hot Oil, will begin immediately to fully integrate the two companies. In the near term, customers can expect to interact with each company as they always have. The company expects that customers will begin to see a more unified set of services beginning in Spring 2011, as the company integrates key marketing activities.

“Today’s acquisition is another step in Frontier’s quest to provide more services to the oil-rich Bakken,” Eberhart said. “We have been moving quickly, but thoughtfully on our integration planning, and I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made. It has taken the company a lot of hard work to acquire Hanson, but we believe our co-workers will be enthusiastic about the opportunities this will bring them.”

Frontier Energy Group, Inc. is able to provide greater job stability, career opportunities, and retirement security for its employees by being part of a larger, financially stronger oilfield services company that is able to better compete successfully in the Williston Basin.

“Our outstanding team is one of the most important assets of Frontier,” said Eberhart. “We will be working together to provide our co-workers with the right culture, tools, and incentives to do their jobs well and to make them proud to work for the new Frontier Hot Oil.”
