Denver, CO – Frontier Energy Group, Inc. participated in the 2011 Tight Oil from Shale Plays World Congress Jan. 31- Feb. 1 in Denver, CO. The event focused on providing cost effective solutions for integrating geological techniques to maximize production in major North American Tight Oil Plays, such as the Bakken.

Several Frontier staff members, including Robbie Uranker, representing Frontier Wellhead & David Vigil representing Cable, Inc., took part in sessions and programs targeting practical success stories on how leading operators have developed completions strategies and techniques to maximize oil flow without over-spending. Dan Eberhart, CEO of Frontier Energy Group, Inc., led Frontier’s delegation by briefly introducing our services to the crowd of various oilfield-related firms to the conference attendees.

Mr. Eberhart began his brief talk, “You may want to complain about the snowy weather here in Denver, but in Watford City, ND the low is expected to be negative 26.”

“At Frontier Wellhead we have both conventional and unconventional thru-bore speed systems and a complete line of wellhead frac-rental equipment with installation and maintenance services. With the largest fleet of hot oil service trucks in the Bakken with 7 million BTU Heaters on three on board pump systems. This allows us to service both production doing line cleanouts as well as well-bore intervention workover projects,” Eberhart explained.

He went on to explain the services in more detail, particularly Frontier Wellhead’s, within the scope of the main topic of the convention. He encouraged attendees to find out more information about Frontier’s offerings before breaking the conference for lunch.

Sterling, CO – Frontier Energy Group, Inc., parent company of Sterling, CO-based Cable, Inc., today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Luft Machine & Supply, Inc., also based in Sterling. In addition to continuing to cater to Luft Machine’s existing agriculture clientele, this acquisition fits within a broader strategy to move Frontier’s oilfield manufacturing center to Sterling, CO.

Established in 1976, Luft Machine is a precision machining and fabrication firm that builds and repairs farm, oilfield, & other industrial equipment. They are capable of contract manufacturing, assembly, welding, and machining & milling. They also work internationally for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Under the Frontier umbrella, Luft will continue its long tradition of designing & building farm and other industrial equipment.

“This presents an exciting opportunity for us,” said Allen Luft, founder of Luft Machine. “We look forward to using our equipment and facility to meet the growing needs of Frontier while maintaining our relationships which we have developed over the last 35 years with all of our loyal customers.”

The shop is located in the city of Sterling, in Northeastern Colorado, very near Cable, Inc.’s headquarters. The location means that Cable & Luft Machine can hire local talent in and around Sterling, Colorado, while ensuring a tight feedback loop between operations & manufacturing and other Colorado & North Dakota divisions within Frontier.

“Bringing Frontier’s manufacturing center to Sterling represents a key milestone in both Sterling and Frontier’s history that will lead to key economic growth for the region, including the opportunity for new jobs,” explains Rich O’Connell, Executive Director of the non-profit Logan County Economic Development Corporation. “This addition strengthens Sterling & Logan County as a center for oil and gas exploration, production, & distribution.”

Despite a tumultuous economy, Cable, Inc.’s business has continued to flourish. In just twelve months, Cable has experienced unprecedented organic & external growth. Last year, Cable acquired Western Wellhead of Grand Junction, CO. As the growth continues, the company is opening a new branch near Price, Utah, the first Cable location in Utah since the mid-80s. The new location will expand the total number of Frontier locations in the Rocky Mountain region to sixteen.

“The acquisition effectively leverages an ideal combination of engineering talent and the proven fabrication system Frontier needs to better serve our customers,” said Dan Eberhart, CEO of Frontier Energy Group. “Luft’s was founded as a family-focused company and we’re committed to continuing that. At Frontier we believe that this is a critical first step in building the kind of relationships with our customers and employees that will support our future growth plans & strategy.”

Frontier began discussions to acquire Luft’s last summer, when it was evaluating its future oilfield-equipment needs. Luft’s long-history of supplying Cable, Inc. top quality vehicles & equipment and its considerable room for expansion made it stand out from other companies.

After its purchase Luft Machine & Supply, Inc will become Luft Machine, LLC, a Frontier Energy Group, Inc. subsidiary. Paul Schrade, currently Vice President of Luft Machine & Supply, Inc., will become Operations Manager of the newly formed Luft Machine. He said that Luft’s will maintain the current employees and the senior management team will continue to provide the parts and service our customers have grown to expect.

Sterling, CO – Frontier’s HSE Manager recognized two recipients of the 2010 Safety Award. Winners of the award helped maintain a safe workplace by taking immediate action to create and implement new safety procedures.

David Vigil, HSE Manager, said, “The success of a company depends not only on production and sales, but also how safely each job is performed. There is no job so important – nor any service so urgent – that we cannot make time to work safely.”

Following a non-Frontier related incident where an oilfield hand was killed in Greeley, CO, Cable, Inc. employees Chris Neff and Anthony Conde were concerned about finding a better way to secure lines overhead to minimize the risk of a shiv coming down and striking someone. After developing a policy, both gentlemen immediately implemented the new procedures in the field. A few weeks later a sand line broke on a rig. Following the new policy, the shiv and tools were prevented from falling to the deck avoiding serious injury to the rig hands.

“Establishment of a safe environment is the shared responsibility between employees at all levels of an organization,” said Vigil. “This year’s Safety Award goes to Chris Neff and Anthony Conde for quickly implementing new procedures that showed both their commitment to excellence and preventing a terrible accident.”

For more information about Frontier’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies visit Protecting Our Employees.

Anthony Conde’s quick implementation of new policies helped prevent an injury in May 2010.

Since starting with Cable almost 10 years ago Chris Neff has shown a dedication to safety while not letting it interfere with job performance.

Sterling, CO – Frontier recently introduced its new brand identity for the future as an oilfield services company committed to becoming a one-stop service provider for its customers.

The new Frontier brand is simple, confident, & fresh. Frontier unveiled a new, more forward-looking logo that reflects the company’s rich history, using elements from its Frontier Wellhead & Supply, LLC & Cable, Inc. brands.

“This is a very important, exciting time for Frontier,” said Jacob Eberhart, Director of Communications & Marketing at Frontier Energy Group. “Our new identity is unique. Our business is focused on building from the great reputations of our subsidiaries while looking ahead at the company’s future. With a clear and consistent brand we are better prepared to reinforce public awareness which ultimately helps our customers.”

What really matters is what happens out in the field. The brand identity has several parts including a new slogan – Dedicated to the Life of Your Well. Customers will begin seeing the new logo on uniforms and trucks in Spring 2011. In addition the re-branding includes:

A move to the new Frontier Energy Group, Inc. logo on vehicles, stationary, & marketing materials

New paint schemes, including elements reminiscent of Frontier, Hanson Hot Oil, & Cable

“It’s also important for our customers to know that Frontier will continue to deliver the same great experience and quality of service they have come to expect,” continued Eberhart. “We’re delighted to continue to build upon a long track record of both Frontier & Cable. The re-branding will serve as a visible demonstration of Frontier’s strategy to provide our customers with a full range of oilfield services.”

Certain subsidiaries’ will undergo a transition to build brand consistency.

Kodiak Stack Testing, LLC has begun a re-branding that includes changing its name to better reflect the company’s make-up and position for future growth. Effective January 1, 2011, Kodiak is known as Frontier Pressure Testing, LLC, a Frontier Energy Group, Inc. company.

The idea of changing the name and logo came in early 2010. Internal discussions focused on three main ideas: identifying who Frontier is; understanding Frontier’s customers; & defining effective marketing. In October 2010, the name Frontier Energy Group, Inc. & its new logo was in place.

Frontier’s former logo had been in place under the Frontier Wellhead brand. The refreshed logo, with its diamond & typeface better reflects the vibrancy of the company and each subsidiary. The new logo’s bold color and fresh shape symbolize Frontier’s commitment to past, present, and future oilfield customers.

Frontier recently introduced its new brand identity for the future as an oilfield services company committed to becoming a one-stop service provider for its customers. The new Frontier brand is simple, confident, & fresh.

Denver, CO – This past May many employees from Frontier Energy Group, LLC. participated at the Frontier Wellhead booth during the Developing Unconventional Oil Conference. It was a incredible success!

The conference in Denver, CO looked at the latest in oil field technology, geology, geochemistry, and geophysics involved in the recovery of unconventional oil such as that found in the Bakken shale play.

“The conference was important to show that there are certain things that oil and gas companies need to keep in mind before increasing their production budget,” company CEO, Dan Eberhart, explained, “many of the challenges are unique challenges to the Williston Basin area.”

Dan gave a speech in front of over 900 industry leaders in attendance.

“Fraccing is the buzz word across the industry, but few service companies have the experience to deliver the wellhead or wireline services that we have.”

The success of the conference is due to the hard work of many staff members from across the company who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and/or attended the conference.
